A unique but apt logo is being launched capturing the essence of the theme park “Lost Paradise of Dilmun'' a water park which is being developed by the Al Areen Holding Company. The logo depicts a paradise lost…being regained by a wave of water denoting excitement to reveal it! The old brickwork depicting the garden of paradise that was Dilmun emerges behind the fresh and crisp park name with the undercurrent of water running along the base of the wall as water is the core of the entertainment. From a cresting wave emerges guests on a slide – sliding from the new wave to the old history that was Dilmun. It is essentially a paradise rediscovered by an actual and metaphoric wave – of water and of fun.

Developed by the Al Areen Holding Company at an investment of US $50 million, the water park covers an overall area of around 77,000 square meters, with a built-up area of 45,000 square meters and about 20,000 square meters for future expansion and car parking. Expected to be open in the first half of 2007 the park can accommodate 5,000 guests at any time.

''The facility will create at least 150 job opportunities, said Mr. Paul Blunt the general manager of the Lost Paradise of Dilmun water park. “Each aspect of the park is based on the history of the Dilmun period, reflected by unique stone sculptures and architecture that encompasses the theme. Mr Blunt adds “Over 14 slides and attractions are blended seamlessly to create a desert oasis and garden of paradise for guests to enjoy - besides spa pools, interactive children’s wet play area and family raft ride the park will also feature the gulf regions’ largest wave pool, the first in the area with a natural sandy beach''.

Highly skilled artists are busy creating the over 500 sculptures and fittings that will incorporate the key aspects of the Dilmun period and give the Lost Paradise of Dilmun it’s unique look of grandeur and history Dancing water fountains, lush greenery, gurgling streams and thatched shade structures will also add to the ambience whilst providing a backdrop for the thrilling and exciting waterslides, pools and other activities.
